Dinner w/ Austin, James, and Scott @ Chipotle

This past Wed. (1/23) Austin and i ate dinner with two dudes, one named James and the other named Scott. These two guys are students at UTD and they are also roommates.

The reason we ate with them is simple. It was our core HW assignment. The assignment was to set up a meal with someone you didn't know and hae that meal along with your core partner....(which is AUSTIN ATHERTON for those of you who are a little behind.) I had previously met James at FOCUS camp 08 the weekend before, but i had never met Scott...and i believe the same is true for my friend Austin. We went to Chipotle and spent time just getting to know each other. Both J and S are from Southlake and i believe they are both finance majors.

After we got back to campus our core played wallyball....we had cancelled our normal core meeting because of the current FOCUS epidemic from which our core was not spared..many of our core guys are still recovering from their embarrassing illnesses...for example Jesse has the flu i think and Garrett is still very ugly

So im getting tired of everyone being sick..it's annoying to me. So everyone get better so we can stop cancelling stuff

So im open for new ideas on what to call this blog.....the current title sounds a little like a nature club or something aweful like that

Core___1/16/08

Alright...

...so we had core tonight and it went awesome! We continued on in our study through 1 Corithians covering chapters 3 and 4 this evening( we went over 1 and 2 last week). Everyone shared about the previous weeks HW assignment.( everyone in core has a partner and there is a weekly HW project to complete) This weeks HW was to go on a prayer walk around the campus with your partner.
...Austin is my partner for the first part of the semester. On our walk we discussed some of our goals for the spring and then we prayed about them. We also prayed for our core, the FOCUS ministry, our campus, and this weekends camp. We asked God to give us wisdom as individuals and a ministry to see how he wants to use us this semester and where he wants to take us.
